MISSIONS

Leadership and Management

  • Provide strategic leadership to administrative, purchasing, finance, and supply chain teams in Senegal.
  • Work closely with the Mining Director to align operational and managerial objectives.
  • Represent the company in Senegal, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining a strong corporate reputation.

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise and optimize all administrative functions, including HR, procurement, and logistics.
  • Oversee financial management of Senegal operations — budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure efficient procurement and supply chain processes supporting mining activities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as primary liaison with local banks, managing financial relationships and transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with government authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and positive engagement.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, community events, and public engagements.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure full adherence to corporate governance, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements specific to the mining industry.

Reporting and Communication

  • Provide regular updates to the CEO regarding operations, performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Mining Director and other senior staff to align strategic goals.

Additional Duties

  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and partnerships related to Senegal operations.
  • Implement and oversee risk management strategies to protect company interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 8–10 years of managerial experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership within the mining or related industry.
  • In-depth understanding of Senegalese regulations, especially those governing mining and business operations
  • Strong knowledge of administrative, financial, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
