The UN Women Senegal Office works alongside other UN agencies in the country to implement its Strategic Note 2023-2027 which focuses on delivering on four interlinked programme areas underpinned by support for intergovernmental and normative processes : (i)Women’s Political Empowerment and Leadership ; (ii) Women’s Economic Empowerment and (iii) Ending Violence against Women
Reporting to EVAWG Programme Specialist, the Programme Associate works with and provides support to the members of the EVAWG Unit in the development and implementation of effective programmes consistent with UN Women rules and regulations. The Programme Associate contributes to research, financial management, and programme implementation including providing necessary operational, administrative financial and programmatic support. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff in the CO.
Key Functions and Accountabilities :
1 - Provide administrative, financial and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes
2 - Provide administrative support to the financial management of the Programme Unit
3 - Provide administrative support to the Programme Unit
4 - Provide administrative support to Resource Mobilization
5 - Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing
6 - The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization

Education and Certification :
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration is an asset.
Experience :
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, finance or programme management/support ;
- Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is required ;
- Experience in supporting a team is required.
- Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Quantum, RMS, is desirable;
Language Requirements :
- Fluency in French is required.
- Working knowledge of English and local language are desirable
